Activision has officially brought Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops II to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 through digital releases. However, players interested in revisiting these classics should be prepared for a relatively high price.

Each game is sold separately for $40, meaning purchasing both titles costs $80. Players looking for the complete experience must also buy the individual Season Pass for each game, priced at $29.99 each. As a result, owning both games along with all downloadable content requires an investment of approximately $140, despite the titles originally launching many years ago.

PlayStation Plus members receive a considerably better offer. During the promotional period, each game is available for $20, while the Season Passes are reduced to $9 each. This lowers the combined cost of both games and their DLC to roughly $60, making the bundle far more affordable. The discounted pricing is available until August 6.

Black Ops II also includes a free downloadable pack containing the cosmetic customization items that were previously sold separately in the original release. Aside from this addition, the PlayStation versions do not introduce any new gameplay features or technical improvements. Cross-platform multiplayer is also absent, which many players view as a positive change because the older versions have long struggled with hackers and security issues. Fresh servers are expected to provide a more stable online experience.

Not every feature from the original games has been preserved. According to reports from CharlieIntel, both Wager Matches and Theater Mode have been removed from these releases, matching earlier expectations after the trophy lists were leaked. Despite these omissions, the core content remains intact, allowing players to enjoy the full single-player campaign, multiplayer battles, and the popular Zombies mode. In addition, the well-known emblem editor has also returned, giving players the freedom to create and customize their own in-game emblems.
